Why do you roll?

I wanted to have a go at this web based animation software, so I used the first topic that came to mind. Not too far removed from some conversations I have had from time to time.

  1. this is very entertaining, and informative. I use a GP but do not have a repertoire of rolls... pretty much just the standard sweep roll. I just finished my west greenland kayak (Disko Bay). It is supposed to be good for rolling so maybe I will start to learn some new ones...

  2. Hi Dean - Thanks for your comment. I got a lot of hits but little feedback so I hope folk aren't taking it to seriously - its meant to be a bit of fun, at my expense as well. Hope it made you smile.

I only have a few of the rolls, its a slow process...

I have followed your boat making progress. I would love to be able to do a project like that. Well done! It looks amazing.

  3. yes - it was a fun video.... I have the Disko sitting in my basement ready to hit the water tomorrow for her first wetting. I'll post some pics tomorrow night or on Sunday. Believe me, if I can build one so can you... you just have to decide you are going to do it, make a start, and see it through...

  6. i completely understand the conversation. I am not particularly fond of paddling long distances but I do like to enhance my greenland rolls.
