South Ronaldsay in May

The trip I have chosen from May began at Sandwick Bay in South Ronaldsay heading south to Shortie Geo.
There were lots of caves and fissures and rock gardens on the way down the east coast.
A careful boat exit in the water at this boulder beach made sure neither I or the Isel were damaged. As we exchanged cake and admired the three stacks, one of the locals enjoyed a bit of stack jumping from this one, though it was not caught on camera.

We passed the building which folk used to change for church, after rowing across from Swona, and, with a respectful nod to the Pentland Firth tides, turned back north.
